Corn Exchange

The famous statue of Ceres, the Roman Goddess of the harvest, adorns the Corn Exchange and keeps vigil over the Market Place.

Opened in 1857, the Corn Exchange was originally a covered market where cereals were traded.

This centrally located historical landmark is ideally suited to larger functions such as concerts, shows and fayres. The Corn Exchange also offers smaller rooms suitable for a wide variety of social and business uses. It has two fully licensed bars and is able to accommodate all types of catering needs.

The magnificent Ceres Hall is ideally suited to larger function, seating up to 200 people for a banquet or up to 500 for a conference, concert or show. The Wessex and Yeoman rooms are ideal for all types of smaller events.

For something completely different our basement provides another versatile venue complete with bar, dance floor and stage suitable for both discos and live bands.  The Exchange Night Club has its own separate entrance making it an ideal party venue for all occasions.

All rooms at the Corn Exchange have full disabled access, lifts, air conditioning and an induction loop system. Parking is located within walking distance.
