COVID-19 Update - February 2021

Weddings

The Town Hall is a perfect location for the smallest of wedding ceremonies. In line with the latest government guidance, we will be open for wedding ceremonies for parties of six from 8th March 2021, increasing to 15 people from 12th April (subject to government approval).

Good To Go EnglandWe are very much hoping that we will be able to host wedding parties of up to 30 guests from 17th May and also wedding breakfasts, with a sit-down meal. Fingers (everything!) crossed that we will be able to offer large-scale weddings from 21st June.

Business Meetings/Conferences

We are very much hoping that business meetings, conferences etc. can go ahead from 17th May.

Keeping you safe in our venues

We have put a range of measures in place to ensure the safety of you our guests and our team and are delighted that we have been part of the Good to Go Scheme since the very beginning of the pandemic. These include:

  • Masks are to be worn at all times during events held at our venues, unless food and drink is being consumed.
  • All guests will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided when entering the venues. Hand sanitisation stations are available across both venues.
  • We have implemented a thorough cleaning and sanitisation schedule, before, during and after all events.
  • Guests will be asked to confirm that they have not had COVID-19 symptoms or that they have not been asked to self-isolate in the past fourteen days.
  • Guests will be asked to follow the latest social distancing guidelines.
  • Room layouts will be prepared to follow social distancing guidelines.

Thank you and stay safe,

                                        The Venues Team

We recognise that charities and community groups need support when organising fundraising events,

which is why we offer reduced rates for all of our rooms.

We also have a Grace and Favour Policy, which allows locally based groups to use a room at the Town Hall free of charge.

If your group has open membership to the majority of the residents of Devizes, then please do get in touch to discuss this more fully.
